The Beautiful and Damned

F. Scott Fitzgerald’s second novel is once again based on his relationship with Zelda. In this one, we meet Anthony Patch, a man who is climbing the social ladder, and is set to inherit a fortune from his tycoon father. The book centers around life in the Jazz Age and his relationship with his wife, Gloria. Once again, the characters are complex and well-drawn.
